Industry and Factories in Amesbury
These photos are from the Bartlett Museum collection and show various factories and workers in Amesbury.

The Atwood Brothers lamp factory. This was located near Patten's Pond

Photo marked as Lamp Shop Crew. Unknown if it is also Atwood Brothers

Currier and Cameron shop

An auto body upholstery shop

Gray and Davis factory

The Standard Thermometer factory. This was located near Patten's Pond

The Briggs Carriage Company, with Clark's Pond in the foreground

The John H. Clarke Company (2 buildings on right). This view is looking up Chestnut St. The building on the left is gone, now the location of N.A. Nichols scrap metal company.

This very interesting photo shows carriages ready to be loaded on a "ghost train" in the foreground, with the ruins of multiple buildings in the background, so it would be some time after the 1888 Carriage Hill Fire.
