Amesbury Historical Society and the Bartlett Museum

Our Mission:

To preserve and display the rich history of Amesbury, Massachusetts and the surrounding communities. We help people doing historical research on family history, old houses and properties, shipbuilding and other aspects of local history.

We run the Bartlett Museum, a former school built in 1870 named after Josiah Bartlett, a prominent physician born in Amesbury who was a founding father of the United States and a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

A historic old school with a large front yard, surrounded by trees, and a wooden picket fence. There is a sign that reads 'Bartlett Museum' on the right side of the image.
